Some useful information about courses and questions in general.
General questions

Where are the different meeting points?
Group lessons? On top of Piz Sorega, on the right side, behind the restaurant Piz Sorega, you’ll find our Meeting Point 2 (on top of the slope Codes)
Private lessons? Our private lessons do always start on top of Piz Sorega (except if requested otherwise) on the left side in front of our little hut that also functions as an office. The lesson at 8.30a.m. starts at the bottom of Piz Sorega, in front of the ski pass cash register.

Until when do I need to cancel a lesson?
All the bookings need to be deleted at least 48 hours before the lesson. If not, the lessons won’t be reimbursed. -
Is it possible to have a private lesson with more than one participant?
Absolutely! We suggest though, that they all have the same skiing level, otherwise it’s not possible to have a satisfactory lesson for everybody. -
Are the participants insured during the lessons?
Yes, our participants are insured during the ski lessons. They are covered if they injure to themselves and others. We suggest getting a personal insurance than you can buy at the ski pass office. -
Ski alpine or snowboard? What is better to start?
It’s completely indifferent with which discipline you’d like to start. It’s not true that you need to know how to ski before you start snowboarding. -
How many hours of lessons do I need to learn a new discipline?
Usually it takes you 2/3 lessons to learn the base of a new discipline. -
Is there a Ski-bus service? (timetable, stops)
There is a ski-bus that brings you from Costadedoi (a fraction of San Cassiano) to the bottom of Piz Sorega and there is a ski-bus that brings you from the Camping Sass Dlacia to the ski lift Armentarola. -
Is the equipment included in the rates?
No, the equipment is not included. If you’ll attend our group lessons or do 5 private lessons, you’ll have 10% off at the ski rental Golden Eagle

What happens if I am late?
Due to the nature of our business and the fact that we are often very busy and must move promptly from one session to another, we must insist on our guests being punctual. Instructors are asked to wait for clients for up to 45 minutes. If the client has not called our office or the instructor to inform them, that they will be late, the instructor is entitled to leave, and the client will be liable for full payment of the lesson. The lessons won’t be refund or moved. -
What happens in case of bad weather?
Winter sports are practised outside. For us there is no bad weather, just wrong clothing. Usually when it snows, skiing becomes even more fun. Our lessons will take place with every weather condition. The lessons won’t be refund or moved to another day. -
What happens if I’ll get sick?
Interruptions doe to illness or accidents will be refund only after you hand in a medical certificate issued by a local health office. -
Do I have to pay my lessons in advance?
Yes, all the lessons need to be payed in advance. In this case you’ll get a ticket that acts as a payment certificate. With the payment our clients declare that they are aware and accept our terms and conditions. -
How can I settle the bill? Which payment methods are there?
We accept all payment methods in all our offices (credit card, cash, banking transfer, check). -
What are the booking methods?
We suggest booking your lessons in advance online (trough our website or by e-mail) and confirm them with a little down payment. It’s also possible to book your lessons directly in one of our offices that you can find on top of Piz Sorega or at the bottom, next to the parking spaces. -
If I want to have lessons with a specific instructor, when should I book?
If you want a specific instructor, we suggest getting in contact with the ski school (best by e-mail) as soon as possible. -
Is the helmet mandatory?
We always suggest wearing a helmet. Kids under the age of 14 must wear a helmet. It is law in Italy since 2003. -
Do I have to come to the ski lesson with the whole equipment?
Yes, we suggest you to already bring your whole equipment (Skis, ski poles, ski boots, ski pass, ski suit) so that you can use the whole hour for skiing. -
Which ski pass is suggested?
We suggest the Alta Badia ski pass. For our participants of higher skiing levels and for the different ski safaris you’ll require the Doloimiti Superski ski pass. -
Do the participants of the group/private lessons need a ski pass?
Yes, every participant needs a ski pass. The ski pass is not included in our rates.
Questions about group courses

What happens, if there aren’t enough participants for the group lessons?
If there aren’t enough participants to start our group classes, we will reduce the hours of lessons, so that the group can start anyway. If this isn’t possible, we will convert the group lessons into private lessons or reimburse the amount.

How many participants will there be in one group?
Our groups will be composed by at least 5 to 10 persons. We do our best to divide the groups as homogeneous as possible, so that the lessons can be well structured. The size of the group can range from 5 to 10 persons. In high season there could exceptionally be groups that will be composed by more then 10 kids. -
What can I do if I don’t feel comfortable in my group?
If you don’t feel well in the group you were put into, we’ll ask you to come by one of our offices. We will try to find you another group or convert the group into private lessons. -
Does the school have a beginner’s ground?
Yes, for the participants of our lessons we have a beginner’s ground on top of Piz Sorega, on the left site, right on top of the slope Codes. (Meeting Point 2) -
Is it possible to book the group lessons with a specific instructor?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to choose your instructor in advance. They will be assigned to the group the first day completely randomly. -
Do the days of group lessons have to be consecutive?
The days must be consecutive so that the group can advance together and go on with their weekly program. -
How does group forming take place?
At the beginning of the course a small selection will be made (both for adults and for children), where the ski level of the various participants will be assessed. Based on this, they will then be assigned to the different course levels. -
Can our kids be in the same group?
Yes, if the kids have the same skiing level, it’s no problem to put them into the same group. Please just let the instructor know the first day that they’d like to ski together. -
Is lunch included in the price?
No, lunch is not included. Please give them 11,00€ for lunch. -
How old do the kids need to be to attend our group lessons?
If they are four years old, it is absolutely no problem to book them into our group lessons. If they are younger, we usually suggest having a private lesson and evaluate together with the instructor, if your kid is ready to attend group lessons. -
Why does it sometimes happen, that instructors that have higher classes are skiing on blue/easy slopes?
If the kids need to learn new techniques or/and improve their style, it’s better for them to do this on easier slopes where they feel comfortable. -
Which ski pass is requested for the lessons?
For the group ski lessons we request the Alta Badia ski pass. If the kid already has a higher skiing level, we suggest the Dolomiti Superski ski pass. For the Full-Day classes we require the Dolomiti Superski ski pass. -

Is there foreseen an end race?
Yes! At the end of every course we organise a little “final” race on top of the slope Codes. At the end there will be a little prizegiving in front of our main office. The ski instructor will let you know, how late his group will start.
